specializing in the development and production of innovative bio-ingredients for industrial use, announces the completion of a capital increase subscribed by <strong>ROELMI HPC and <\/strong> <strong>Consorzio<\/strong> <strong>Italbiotec<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This transaction marks the beginning of a new phase for the company: <strong>Isuschem<\/strong> now presents itself to the markets as a more mature, more dynamic company that is open to strategic partners capable of supporting its industrial, commercial, and technological growth within the <strong>circular bioeconomy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Based in Naples, Isuschem was founded <\/strong>through a collaboration between <strong>Italian Printing Inks<\/strong>, a Campania-based manufacturer of coatings, and the <strong>Department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Naples Federico II<\/strong>.  <br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Led by CEO <strong>Vincenzo Benessere<\/strong>, who holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences, Isuschem has developed a patented process for converting fatty acids derived from residual oils, waste oils, or non-food crops into <strong>high-value-added<\/strong> <strong>ingredients<\/strong> and intermediates <strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Isuschem&#8217;s <strong>patented technology<\/strong> uses reusable and cost-effective zinc- or iron-based catalysts and is distinguished by a <strong>zero-VOC <\/strong>process <strong>applicable <\/strong>to various industrial sectors, including cosmetics, animal feed, coatings, and bio-lubricants.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The process is <strong>Zero VOC \u2014 <\/strong>Volatile Organic Compound \u2014 and enables the development of high-value-added ingredients and intermediates for various industrial sectors.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>applications<\/strong> developed to date, all of which are covered by patents, include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cosmetics<\/strong>: bio-ingredients with a high capacity to deliver hard-to-dissolve raw materials in formulations for sunscreens, emollients, and soothing agents, as well as pigment binders for skincare and haircare products that are resistant to discoloration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Feed<\/strong>: a glycerin-based functional additive for maintaining gut health in broiler chickens.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coatings<\/strong>: thinners, coalescents, and solvents with a high capacity to dissolve synthetic resins and excellent viscosity-reducing properties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lubricants<\/strong>: high-viscosity, oxidation-resistant, biodegradable, and non-toxic in water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 id=\"h-una-nuova-fase-industriale\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A New Phase in the Industry<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The acquisition <strong>of stakes by <\/strong> <strong>ROELMI HPC<\/strong> and <strong>Italbiotec <\/strong>strengthens Isuschem\u2019s position as a technology platform for converting renewable and residual raw materials into high-value-added ingredients.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>new members<\/strong> bring complementary skills:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>ROELMI HPC<\/strong>, a leader in R&amp;D and the production of active and functional ingredients for the cosmetics and nutraceutical markets, is strengthening the company\u2019s ties to the health and wellness market.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Italbiotec Consortium<\/strong>, a technology and development partner, is strengthening its commitment to innovation, grant management, and competitive growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Volano<\/strong>, together with <strong>Partner<\/strong> <strong>Giovanni De Caro<\/strong>, <strong>Director Benedetto di Martino<\/strong>, and <strong>Manager Antonio Donadio<\/strong>, handled the economic and financial aspects and supported the team in negotiating the terms of the transaction. <strong>Francesco Pezcoller, an attorney at <\/strong> <strong>PZC<\/strong>, alongside <strong>Alessandro Suppa<\/strong>, served as <em>deal counsel<\/em>, assisting the founding partners and investors in structuring the transaction from a corporate law perspective.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The investment<\/strong> by <strong>ROELMI HPC<\/strong> and <strong>Consorzio Italbiotec<\/strong> is the third in a series that began in July 2023 and continued in February 2024 with Terra Next\u2019s investment totaling 360,000 euros, the bioeconomy-focused accelerator of CDP Venture Capital\u2019s National Accelerator Network, promoted in partnership with the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and managed by Cariplo Factory.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"h-il-prossimo-obiettivo-scalare-la-capacita-produttiva\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/><strong>The next goal: to scale up production capacity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Isuschem is currently engaged in a <strong>Series A funding round<\/strong> aimed at building a <strong>new production facility<\/strong> and strengthening the
